Controlling Exposure to Grandparents
I know more than a few people who never let the grandparents spend time with
their children without supervision. Usually this is due to some religious
tension and what the parents don't want their children being taught. Are
there situations where you would control your child's exposure to their
grandparents?
Re:Controlling Exposure to Grandparents
Well, in my case I don't know if it's because I'm a woman but I'm closer to
my family, so with the kids I have no problem letting them with my parents
but when it comes the case of letting them with my husbands'
mother I don't like it a lot. It's because his mother sometimes acts more
like a kid than an adult so I worry about that. I don't see her as someons
responsible that will take good care of them. But of course, is a really
difficult topic to talk about with your partner.
1 Secret to Raising a Happy Child
There were several on the list I found. This one struck me. It says that
because children absorb everything from us, our moods matter and that happy
parents are likely to have happy kids. It's something to think about the
next time we feel mad or sad.
Learning Survival Skills
When my sons were about 16, I let them go on a trip with a trusted male
friend who took them out for some light hunting and fishing. It was a great
experience for them and I saw no harm. In fact, I think all kids should
learn some survival skills, like hunting, regardless of gender.
Of course, I know many people, male and female, who are horrified at the
idea. If your son or daughter had the opportunity to learn hunting and/or
survival skills in a safe environment, would you encourage them to go on the
trip and participate?
Re: controlling exposure to grandparents
I frankly don't get the topic. I practically grew up with my grandparents.
My parents (who were always traveling around the country) would rather leave
me with them than anyone else. Every chance I got, I'd go over to their
house which was only 2 miles away.

Credit Card Balance Transfer, HELP!
Re:Need help on bad credit credit cards
My friend, knowing that I am having problems with money right now,
specifically with my credit cards, has been nagging me to transfer credit
card balance from one card to another. It all sounds like non-sense to me, I
mean I still have to pay the balance for all my credit cards, no matter what
I use and when I use them.
But she says that you're able to really save on it.
Was she pulling my leg?
